There are many ways to get involved in our growing Eco Living Community here in Northern BC. We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with programming and organizational management, will you be one of them?

Join a Board Committee

About

ELC is a registered BC Society. We operate on a hub and spokes organizational model. Our Board of Directors handle the governance and funding of the organization, and volunteer committees led by either the board or our program leads, take on specific tasks such as fundraising, communications, and program planning and implementation.

We are currently seeking volunteers to join two of our committees in particular: Human Resources and Fund Development. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more.

We also have a Communications Committee – If you are interested in joining ELC to support our outreach, please contact us.

Volunteers, aka Climate Cook-In Leaders, will help to coordinate and facilitate these bi-weekly events.

Please contact us if you are interested in learning more and becoming a Climate Cook-In Leader!

ABout

As a non-profit society, Eco Living Community relies on annual membership fees to help pay for things such as this website, program expenses, and volunteer recognition. However, we don’t want membership fees to be a barrier to participation in this eco living community, that’s what our membership fees range from $2 to $50 and all members are treated equally.

As a member, you get the following:

  • Voting rights during the Society’s AGM’s and Special Meetings (including election of the Boards of Directors)
  • Ability to become a Program Leader to develop initiatives aligned with the Society’s Mission and Vision
  • Ability to run for a Director position
  • Advance notice and regular updates about the Society’s upcoming events

Please join us by becoming a Member today!
